The Delaware KIDS Fund recently visited the Cape Henlopen Food Basket to present a gift of $1,000 for the 2019 winter season.

The Cape Henlopen Food Basket provides food support to more than 2,160 households and 6,313 individuals each month (2,006 of which are children). The gift was timed to help Cape Henlopen Food Basket prepare for higher food demand during the winter months.

The Delaware KIDS Fund has proudly donated over $10,000 to the Cape Henlopen Food Basket Since 2008.

Delaware KIDS Fund Opens New Food Pantry at Richey Elementary School

The Delaware KIDS Fund and Harvey Hanna celebrated the opening of a brand new Delaware KIDS Fund Food Pantry at Newport’s Richey Elementary School. A high percentage of children at this school live at or below the poverty line and the food pantry along with a backpack program serve as a critical resource to local students in need. The pantry was established in partnership with The Food Bank of Delaware and was funded entirely from the 9th Annual Delaware KIDS Fund 5K proceeds. #communitystrong
