KIDS Fund Family Holiday Experience

The Delaware KIDS Fund worked with local agencies during the 2016 Holiday Season selecting four local, deserving families in need by providing Christmas gift for the children, financial assistance for the parents and a holiday meal for the entire family to enjoy. Working with partner agencies (Child, Inc., Lutheran Community Services and The Delaware Army National Guard) – the DE KIDS Fund was able to identify local families in need. The campaign was designed to inspire confidence and provide temporary relief for the Holiday Season. $11,700 of goods, services and gifts were provided in total.

Delaware KIDS Fund Holiday Food Drive with Riley Cooper and Bob Kelly Feeds 12,000 Local KIDS In Need!

Presented by M & T Bank, ARS Fleet Service, My Sherpa, 1290 The Ticket, Premier Wine & Spirits and Harvey, Hanna & Associates

Held at James Street Tavern, in Newport, The 5th Annual Delaware KIDS Fund Holiday Food Drive helped feed over 12,000 local kids in need. The event featured Philadelphia Eagles Wide Receiver, Riley Cooper and former Flyer great, Bob “The Hound” Kelly. Everyone enjoyed live music, great tasting food and drinks, all for a great cause. The event also featured a fun “challenge” offered up by ARS Fleet Service Owner/Operator, Patrick Connell. Connell told Eagles WR that if Riley scored in the Thursday night game vs. the Bengals, ARS would donate $1,000. The next night, early in the second quarter and a 11 yards later, Riley hauled in a $1,000 touchdown catch! It was a great 24 hours for the Delaware KIDS Fund.

2011 Holiday Food Drive!

For its fourth year, the nonprofit Delaware KIDS Fund had its Holiday Food Drive at the James Street Tavern on Wednesday evening. But the event never had such a pitchman – literally. The event’s special guest was Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Vance Worley. Supporters crowded the tavern on Market Street in the heart of town and packed a 20-by-20 tent in its parking lot to meet and greet the California-born right-hander known as “The Vanimal.”
