Both events helped raise $44,000 and feature over 637 registered runners and walkers (510 finishers), 50 + corporate sponsors, 21 volunteers and 20 emergency responders.
The Delaware KIDS Fund continued the tradition of its longstanding summer fundraising event by hosting the 7th Annual KIDS Fund 5K in Newport and the Inaugural KIDS Fund 5K in Dewey Beach. Now known as the KIDS Fund 5K Series – held the first two weeks in August, both 5K’s helped raise over $34,000 and feature over 478 runners and walkers, 67 corporate sponsors, 21 volunteers and 120 medalists. All funds raised from this series is placed back into the community towards emergency food programs intended for Delaware children.
The Delaware KIDS Fund received a 2nd Place Finish in the Annual Communications Contest hosted by The Delaware Press Association for its Annual Appeal Campaign which raised over $34,000 in 2016. The Delaware KIDS Fund submitted for the Public Service Category identifying its campaign and described its formula for Donor Outreach. This formula was introduced in 2014 and helped increase campaign contributions by 168% since 2013!
The Delaware KIDS Fund is pleased announce the 6th Annual Delaware KIDS Fund 5K Run/Walk recently hosted in Newport, DE helped raise $22,632 for Delaware kids in need. 287 registered runners and walkers participated in the annual event to help benefit the Delaware KIDS Fund on Saturday, August 1st. The amount raised is the largest amount collected in 6 years for the annual event.

The Delaware KIDS Fund increased donations by 83% versus 2013 by implementing a multiple tier call to action platform for its existing donor network.
